I’m about out of picture capacity on this here blog attempt. I scrolled through it completely for the first time and it was odd having all of the memories flood back. It was a lot easier coming back than I had expected, but a lot of it had to do with being the last of my friends to leave and having someone waiting for me on the other side. But it was and is something I’ll never forget and am so greatful for all of the people who helped shape the trip and who helped to shape me into who I’ve become. I guess this is about it for the blog, but hopefully the pictures allowed some or a few people to share in the experience. If you’ve ever the free time, and the interest, I’ve got plenty more pictures, stories and bad jokes to go along with them. Thanks again.

Stocherkahn rennen
’sometimes you just gotta race’
THE RACE
Stocherkahn rennen, to roughly translate, means to race gondolas. The Fraternities in Tuebingen, as well as other clubs and organizations, race down, around and through the Nekar. The loser (loser amongst the frats specifically) having to drink some sort of fermented concoction being less than pleasant.

Ludwigsburg
Ludwig was a very close friend of Napoleon Bonaparte and in the sincerest form of flattery fashioned himself a smaller replica of Napoleon’s prized Versailles.

Southside Music Festival (My Take)
the bands
I was lucky enough to see all of the bands above, plus a lot more. The only band I was really hoping to see in Germany was the Whitest Boy Alive, but despite not seeing them I came away having seen 20-30+ bands. I’d like to think I got my money’s worth, even if i wont be going to Bumbershoot, MFNW or my cousin’s neighbors grad party..
It was a lot of fun. Surprising good food. Great Friends. Great Music. But the whole weekend I just wanted to get to the airport. I’ll put up some German perspective photos from Katharina.

it is late and i’m melting, i’m home but i’ve been here
..for almost two weeks now and i haven’t really touched this. I had thought that my return would mean, simply, the end of my blog foray. However, there are still a lot of pictures from the trip which i have not uploaded, jokes that i haven’t butchered and people i haven’t thanked. no promises, by any means, that it will get done soon, if at all, but know i’ve at least contemplated it.
And with that:

Wegen Wien (teil 4, graffiti)
so, my last update whilst in Germany, naturally so it is about Austria.
I’ll make sure to do a few sentimental thing-a-ma-bobs when I get back to the states, but just know that this trip has been better than I could have imagined.
