Ignore the Map. Ignore the Arrow. Simply enjoy the uselessness of this cartography and appreciate my failed efforts to find a picture to describe what I’m about to say.
Through the city of Tübingen runs a river called the Neckar. Die Tübinger Neckarbrücke (Neckar-bridge) is not only a sightseeing attraction (Sehenswürdigkeit) for its popular view and boat rides, but also an easy meeting point for lost and confused exchange students (Austausch Studenten). Stemming from the bridge is a sort of island that spans for what seems like a mile. Along which there are benches, statues, Germans, and more that the occasional graffiti tag. The river forks around this walkway and then reunites at the end as if nothing had ever happened. I tried my best to take pictures, but the graffiti I will put up separately. The weather isn’t much now, but that day, it was a force to be reckoned with. I feel like things are getting better though. This isn’t home, but I’m starting to feel comfortable and that says a lot.
